How to connect

Add GoCons to your AI assistant as a custom connector, with this address: https://gocons.eu/mcp
The first time it connects, GoCons opens in your browser. Sign in with your usual account and allow access. From then on, the assistant stays connected.

Works with Claude, ChatGPT (in developer mode), Claude Code and Visual Studio Code.

Technical details

Transport: Streamable HTTP.
Sign-in: OAuth 2.1 with PKCE. There are no API keys and no dynamic client registration, which is why Cursor cannot connect yet.
Limits: up to 60 calls a minute per connection, within the monthly allowance of your plan.
Files: uploads are done in the GoCons web app, not through MCP.

Frequently asked questions

What is the GoCons MCP server?

It connects AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT to your GoCons account through MCP (Model Context Protocol), the open standard AI assistants use to work with other software. Once connected, you can ask about your clients, contracts, tasks, milestones and invoices in plain language, and ask for the changes your role allows.

Which AI assistants can connect to GoCons?

Claude (on the web and in the desktop app), Claude Code, ChatGPT in developer mode, and Visual Studio Code. Cursor is not supported yet.

Is the MCP server included in the Free plan?

Yes. Every plan, including Free, includes the MCP server with a monthly allowance of calls. Each tool your assistant uses counts as one call, and the allowance starts again on the first day of each month.

Do I need an API key or any code?

No. You add the GoCons address to your assistant, sign in with your GoCons account and allow access. There are no keys to create or copy.

Can the assistant change or delete my data?

Only what your role allows in GoCons. An Admin can create, update and delete; a Regular User can only start, complete and record progress on the tasks assigned to them. Before a change, the assistant tells you what it will change and asks you to confirm, and it names each item before deleting it.

How do I disconnect an assistant?

Go to My Profile in GoCons and disconnect it under Connected apps. Changing your password also disconnects every assistant.
